Brad Patton has been a practicing criminal defense attorney for almost 35 years. Mr. Patton was one of the first attorneys certified by the state as a Certified Criminal Law Specialist. Recognized for his skill, expertise, ethical reputation, and zealous representation of his clients, Mr. Patton has twice been named Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year as well as honored as Trial Attorney of the Year.

In addition to maintaining his private practice, Mr. Patton serves on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association. He has been an active member of he Criminal Defense Lawyers Club since 1988. Mr. Patton is a past member of the Board of Directors of the North County Bar Association and a founding panel member of the North County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service. In 1990, Mr. Patton was appointed to serve the California State Bar Committee on Professional Responsibilities and Conduct. Since 1990, Mr. Patton has been a chapter author for the Criminal Law and Procedure Manual published by the California Continuing Education of the State Bar.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Patton has represented clients in some of the highest media profile cases in San Diego, including several high profile death penalty cases. Mr. Patton has developed a reputation among judges, prosecutors, and the legal community as being one of the most highly regarded criminal defense attorneys in San Diego County.
